the increase in electric cars on the roads of our country is felt by everyone.

The advantages of these cars are clear enough and finally pushes us over decades of dependence on contaminating gases.

With that being said it is clear that alongside the growth in electric car ownership there will also be a need for greater distribution of charging station from different technology types all across the city.

Energy storage

The next phase in the world of energy is local and global energy storage. Energy storage is a relatively new technology; thou it is perfectly clear that it is about to take over a big percentage of the many energy sources in the market.

Energy storage in the distribution network (behind the metter)-

The local energy storage regards the common consumer, as the consumer hoards energy for himself during the hours in which energy manufacturing is cheap, and dispenses the saved energy during the hours in which the manufacturing is expensive. Therefore, the economic value of these projects is beyond any doubt.

Storage in the transmission network- energy storage in the transmission network is a country wide storage system. These projects include storage at a substantially bigger capacity, while the power discharge is done to the national network. In this case the system manager pays for the availability of the electricity as well as for every kilowatt that is transmitted to the national network.

Establishment of generation / cogeneration / Cogeneration facilities

The energy market in Israel is going through significant change in the past years, after decades where it has been a closed market run by the Israeli electric company in a monopolistic way.  

The energy department estimates that by 2024, new gas based microgeneration facilities -at a circumference of 670 mega- will be established. 

Approximately 70% of the potential will be stations smaller than 5 mega. 

It is possible to estimate that in the following years 1000 microgeneration stations will be established.

In order to realize these predictions and their potential the Israeli government has decided:

-to encourage the establishment of natural gas distribution network with 600 million shekel grants.

-the founding of cross office committee to aid in the necessary bureaucracy of laying out the gas pipes across the country.

-Grants for establishing microgeneration stations at the extent of 470 mega. In BOT and BOO projects these grants are given directly to the intrapreneur.

Photovoltaic projects

The state of Israel has been blessed with many hours of sunlight and with a climate that enables extensive use in Photovoltaic stations.  These stations are limited in terms of their manufacturing abilities due to possible sun light hours, and their demand for considerable lands.
